Monthly Innovation Highlight

Here in Atascocita we recently came across quite the innovative product used for achieving a quick dry of all your footwear. The boot dryer is essentially a couple of small tubes that run warm, dry air through the inside of your boot as they dry. This means a quick dry time and warm boots when you put them on the next morning.

Advantage PEET DryerLooking For A Boot Dryer

The dryers we found cost anywhere from around $40 to about $2,000 depending on the type of dryer. Obviously, the higher end of that price spectrum is made up mostly of industrial level drying racks. I assume most of these racks are used at lodges and rental properties. If you're looking for more of a residential-use boot dryer you'll definitely be staying under $100 and getting a great deal.

Other than the residential-industrial difference, there are a few other considerations to take into account when buying your dryer.

Powered Fans. Some dryers come loaded with electric or propane fans to accelerate drying time. These are great, but make sure that the dry times are not too excessive as damage can be caused with overly aggressive drying.

Size of Shoes/Boots. Depending on the type of shoe or boot you'll be drying, you'll want a different size boot dryer. At bootdryers.org we found a variety of different sizes suited for drying boots, waders, ski boots, helmets, gloves, and more.

Quantity & Volume. How many pieces of footwear do you plan to dry at once? If it's just your two feet you need to worry about, one of the above-mentioned dryers should be fine. Otherwise, a more industrial strength and capacity will be what you are looking for. Check out this website for more options when it comes to drying 20-30 boots at a time.

Finding A Boot Dryer

We've mentioned a few places online for you to look. If you'd prefer physically checking out the dryers before buying, then check out a place like Cabelas, Walmart, or Target. They all should carry some form of boot dryer on location. You'll probably pay more at one of these stores, but it's always great to check them out before buying online.

If you have any questions about any boot dryers, feel free to reach out to any of the companies we have mentioned above. We obviously don't sell any of the above products. We just have enjoyed using them and wanted to highlight them for all of you. We don't endorse any of the companies' opinions as we have no control over what may be placed on their site at a later date. We do however, enjoy purchasing their products and hope you will have a good experience as well.
